Aunty Annie was my grandfather's sister not my father's, she could well have lived in Brandon at some time because the Rolph's of Lakenheath were very much connected with Brandon all those years ago, and also Banbury which is in Oxfordshire, my father took me and Alan to all these places when we were very small boys to see lots of our relatives but being such a long time ago you can't remember different names etc', I wish I could! it would help a lot now of course.Aunt Annie did keep a pub somewhere as I mentioned, but I don't know where it was,and as for her husband's name I just couldn't say, it could well have been Arthur but again it's not a name that I remember. when ciss and I go back to Lakenheath later this year we are going to Brandon as well to see if we can get some more clues, I'm pretty sure we will find some more past family burried in the cemetery or churchyards. It will take a long time to get some order of the past Rolph family because of there being so many don't you think? it seems to me that at times Rolph's were marrying Rolph's, it is interesting but very confusing too, anyway Linda! I think you are doing well to get the info that you do,I am trying too, so good luck with your searching.Uncle John.

Yes Iv'e always thought it was Aunt Ada that lived in Banbury, Alan and my-self stayed there on one occasion just for a couple of days when we were very small, a lovely old house out in the countryside,I can remember several things about that place, I can't remember her husband Thomas, but the name Rolph Hussey is very familiar to me, my father mentioned that name at times many years ago but I never really knew who he was. I seem to remember being taken somewhere in London as a small kid and I met a man that was a chauffeur who drove very big black shiny cars for someone, like a Rolls-Royce, and I'm sure he was Rolph Hussey, the cars left an impression on my memory, things like that do when your'e very young.Well Linda! I'll be telling Ciss about exchanging bits and pieces of information with you, she's quite interested in it all, but finds it difficult to spend the time researching I think, we always talk about this business when we meet up which is about every six weeks or so for dinner etc. Well I'll say bye for now once more, and if I find anything interesting I will send it over.Uncle John.
