  Twenty-eight head of cattle consisting of ten head of milch cows, coming fresh soon; two 2-year-old heifers, ten yearling heifers, six spring calves. These cows and heifers are all in calf by a registered Durham bull.
  Anyone in that vicinity buying cows, I will deliver same at St. Lawrence.
  Twenty-eight head of horses consisting of one black team of geldings 12 years old, weight 2900 lbs.; one team of grey mares 2 years old, weight 2400 lbs.; one team of bay mares in foal, 7 and 10 years old, weight 2000 lbs.; one grey mare, in foal, 12 years old; one black team of geldings 1 year old, one bay gelding 3 years old, weight 900 lbs.; one bay horse 6 years old, weight 1500 lbs.; one black gelding 7 years old, weight 1500 lbs.; two bay geldings 3 years old, weight each 1200 lbs.; two black geldings 3 years, weight each 1200 lbs.; one sorrel mare and one bay mare each 3 years old, weight each 900 lbs.; one bay gelding, weight 1000 lbs.; one brown yearling mare colt, one black mare and colt, four sucking colts, and one black Percheron stallion, well known as "Buffalo Bill."

Monitor drill, one 24-ft. pounder harrow, one 8-ft. disc, one new riding lister, one 2 row go-devil, one hay sweep, one double disc gang plow, one 2x8 stock tank, two riding cultivators, eight sets of work harness, one set of single harness, one fanning mill good as new, set of blacksmith tools, 160 acres of hay, 150 bushels of barley, 30 bushels potatoes, some seed corn and rye, and some household goods.

Miss Pearl Arends, who teaches school near Vayland, visited at home over Sunday

C. E. Shriver shipped a car load of horses to a party at Dougherty, Iowa, last Saturday.

Jas. Wiley and family, of Highmore, visited over Sunday at the T. W. Wilson home

The Misses Jessie Kintigh and Addie Welch were passengers to Pierre last Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hartmann rejoice over a new daughter born to them last Saturday.

Hon. J. M King was up to Ree Heights last Saturday night to make a political speech.

Mrs. Alvin Williams and sister arrived home Tuesday night from their visit in Minnesota.

Thos. Townley, of Mattoon, Illinois is drving a new Ford automobile, purchased of C. H. Williams.

Mesdames Fred and Bert Roses, of Vayland, were visitors at the F. M. Cox home last Saturday.

L. A. Swab and family moved into and are getting settled this week in their fine new residence.

Mrs. C. E. Musser, of Highmore, visited at the W. A. Loomis home the latter part of last week.

W. J. Davey, of Mitchell, returned home on Tuesday's evening passenger after a few days sojourn here.

Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Gerhard and daughters, of Redfield, visited at the Altenow home yesterday. They made the trip by auto.

Wm. Bowers from near Faith, returned home Sunday evening after a visit at the home of his sister, Mrs. Earl Lindauer, and family in Pearl township.

Rev. J. L. Walsh was called to Bonilla to preach a funeral sermon. His family accompanied him. They intended to visit at Tulare before returning home.

J. D. Flint, who has been husking corn for A. R. Hannum in Gilbert township, informed us that a 70-acre field yielded between 27 and 28 bushels per acre.

C. H. Williams drove to Huron in his auto Saturday evening accompanied by his family. They arrived home Sunday evening, having visited with F. R. Brumwell family.

Two Northwestern railway track inspectors passed through here last Saturday inspecting track, for the purpose of awarding to each foreman of the ten best-kept sections a 2-1/2 horse power engine for his motor car.
