Johann Georg NUNGESSER was born 8 Sep 1703 in Pfungstadt, Hessen, Germany. He was the son of Georg Phillip NUNGESSER and Eva STEINMETZ, and the grandson of Johann Ludwig and Maria Elizabeth NUNGESSER. In 1732 he and his younger brother Valentine sailed from Rotterdam on board the Samuel. The arrived at Philadelphia 11 Aug 1732, and took an oath of alliegence
By the mid 1740s Johann settled in an area known as Allemaengel in Lynn Twp. of what was then Bucks Co., PA (The township was later part of Northampton Co. and today is part of Lehigh Co.) He married Anna Eva ROMICH, daughter of Johann Adam ROMICH and Agnes Marguerite BERNHARDT. At Allemaengel he built a stone farmhouse that is still standing today on Owl Valley Road near the Red Jerusalem Union Church. He and Anna raised 8 children. He died Oct 1762 at Allemaengel. |
