M. Lowell Eddy
9/17/1941 - 1/15/2013
Lowell Eddy lost his valiant battle with lung cancer on
January 15, 2013
He was proud to be a 12th generation American and 4th
generation Colorado native. He was born in Oak Creek, CO. on September 17,
1941. Lowell graduated from Moorcroft High School in Wyoming in 1959. He went
on to serve as a communication specialist with the First Infantry Division in
Viet Nam in 1965-1966. Lowell then attended and graduated from Colorado State
University in 1970 with a business degree.
After graduation, Lowell and his family moved to Arvada,
CO. where he spent 20 years in the textile business. He started in warehousing,
moved to management and then went on to try his hand at sales. He really
developed his skills at sales and when he moved on to a position with an under
carriage car parts company, his true love for his work became clear. Cars had
been Lowell's passion since high school so visiting mechanic shops throughout
the Denver area was pure joy for him.
In 1999 the Eddys moved to La Veta where Lowell took a job
with Quest Manufacturing in Walsenburg as the national sales manager. He
quickly found that talking about turnout gear for firefighters was as enjoyable
as working with mechanics. Lowell developed many wonderful friends, all over
the country, through the years he worked for Quest.
He officially retired in 2009. He was a member of the Board
of Directors for the La Veta Fire
Protection District and for the La Veta Cemetery District.
Lowell leaves behind Sandra, his loving wife of 45 years;
sons, Greg (Joan) and Chris (Stephanie); four wonderful grandchildren, Sam,
Grace, Jillian and Jordyn. He also leaves behind many loving friends and his
yellow lab, Cody.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the
American Cancer Association or the La Veta Fire Protection Service.
Graveside services and celebration of Lowell's life will be
held at a later date in La Veta.

Hamilton, Evelyn Yvonne Hamilton nee Brock
Source: Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville, Ohio October
18, 2013
Evelyn Yvonne Brock Hamilton was welcomed into Heaven by her
beloved husband, John William Hamilton, brother William Ernest Brock, parents Ernest
and Mary Thornberry Brock, and grandson, Eric Lee Crooks.
Evelyn was born on April 9, 1932 in Beallsville, where she
lived most of her life. She graduated Beallsville High School in 1951 and
married Private First Class John W. Hamilton on September 27, 1952, just days
before he shipped out to Korea for two long years. She worked as a clerk in the
Stark County Courthouse in Canton, Ohio until John returned stateside. They
soon started their family and she devoted herself to being a full-time wife, homemaker,
mother, and ruler of the roost. As a young woman, Evelyn had dreamed of going
to nursing school, and later in life, had the opportunity to work in health
care as a nursing aide at Barnesville Hospital for many years. She loved her
job, and made many lifelong friends as a result. She was a member of the First
Christian Church, Beallsville, and was active in OES #24. She and John served
as Worthy Matron & Patron of the lodge twice, and they participated
regularly in Grand Chapter. She was a world-class cook and baker in her day,
and her recipes keep her in the heart of many homes each time her best dishes
are shared and enjoyed. It must be said that she took home the Blue Ribbon in
the Annual Hamilton Family Reunion Pie Bake-Off too many years to count, much
to the chagrin of her competition.
Following John’s death in 2012, Evelyn moved into Emerald
Pointe Health & Rehab Center in Barnesville, where she dominated the daily
Bingo game, enjoyed outings like viewing the Christmas lights at Oglebay Park,
and made many new friends. Even in her last difficult days, Evelyn had a smile
for everyone who visited her, and loved having her family, friends, and
caretakers around her.
Left to celebrate her life are five children, Barbara (Walter)
Dornon, Cynthia (Roger) Crooks, Rebecca Hamilton, Stephanie (Robert) Morris,
Jr., and John (Michelle) Hamilton; a sister, Doris (Fred) Baker; a
sister-in-law, Janet Brock; eight grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Dornon &
Anthony (Ashley) Dornon, Dawn (J.C.) Mercer & Justin (Natasha) Crooks,
Haydn Hamilton, Jack Wells & Samson Wells and Mariah Hamilton; and seven
great-grandchildren, Kellen, Kennedy & Kasslyn Dornon, Pacyn & Daylin
Mercer, and Emily & Katie Crooks. Evelyn’s family would like to extend
special thanks to the nurses, aides, and hospice staff at Emerald Pointe for
their loving care in her final days. They find comfort knowing that she passed
over peacefully to join John and share their heavenly reward together.
In her memory, it is asked that you bake something delicious
and share it – and a smile – with your family.

1948, in Indianapolis, the son of Barbara and Bill Kehoe. Ronnie was drafted
into the U.S. Army in 1967 where he finished his high school education. He
deployed to Vietnam and served his country proudly. He earned a Purple Heart
and several accommodations during his service and he was honorably discharged
in 1971. He married his high school sweetheart, Cindy Rains, in 1967. From that
marriage, four children were born: Barbara (Bobbi) Cooper, James Steven Kehoe,
Melissa and Ronald William Kehoe Jr. Though that marriage ended in 1975, Ronnie
and Cindy remained friends until the very end. Ronnie married Rita Moore in
1981. From that marriage was born James Moore, Melisa Moore and Mark Alan
Kehoe. Though that union also ended, Rita and Ronnie remained close friends and
still spent time together. Ronnie lived the first half of his life in Indiana.
He moved to Idaho in the early 1980s where he started working as a long-haul
truck driver for Giltner Milk. Although the work was strenuous, there was
nothing else he would rather be doing. Although he often spoke of retiring back
to Indiana, his children knew deep in their hearts that retiring would probably
never happen because he truly loved his job very much.
Ronnie is survived by his children; Bobbi (Gary) Cooper,
Melissa (Jeff) Rowe, Melisa (Armando) Tinajero, Ronald W. Kehoe, Jr. (Aimie),
James Moore and Mark Kehoe (Tonya); 18 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren;

Marietta High graduate dies
at home Thursday
By EVAN BEVINS , Marietta
Times
MARIETTA - Being sad over the death of a classmate is
natural, but sadness is definitely not the emotion Marietta High School
students associated with Travis Kuhn.
"He was, like, the happiest kid ever," sophomore
Kienze Clark said of Kuhn, who died Thursday at his home at the age of 19.
"He was always smiling," added sophomore Ali
Wells.
Sherry McCabe, an intervention specialist who had Kuhn in
class the last four years, said she wouldn't have blamed the young man, who
used a wheelchair because of his cerebral palsy, for complaining once in a
while, but she never heard him do it.
"He loved to be at school. He loved being around his
peers, around the adults," she said.
Principal Bill Lee loved having him around.
"Travis always had a sunny disposition," Lee
said. "If you saw him once or if you saw him 15 times, every time -
'Travis, how you doing?' 'Good, you?'"
That attitude touched everyone Kuhn encountered, the
principal said.
"Travis Kuhn was living proof that angels walk among
us," Lee said. "Such a good boy."
Kuhn graduated last year, but was still attending Marietta
High School as he transitioned to the WASCO program, Lee said. His death, for
which a cause had not been determined Friday, spurred students and faculty
alike to action.
"I had numerous students shedding tears in my office
(Thursday), wanting to know what they could do," Lee said. "It's been
an outpouring across the entire student body, an outpouring of love."
Art teacher Heath
Rader drew a portrait of Kuhn that staff members had framed to present to his
mother. McCabe said students in her special education class were making posters
and sharing memories of their friend.
A banner reading "Heaven has a new angel, We love and
miss you Travis!" was spread out in the library, and students came in to
sign their names and leave messages, including one that read "We'll miss
you and your attitude."
"At first you didn't want to believe it,"
sophomore Aaron Kennon said of learning about Kuhn's death. "It's really
great for the whole school to get together at this time."
The banner was displayed at Friday's football game against
Williamstown. Prior to the start, a moment of silence was held and Kuhn's
picture was shown on the scoreboard. During the game, students were to
circulate to collect donations to help Kuhn's family with funeral expenses.
Kuhn's stepfather, Wesley Blair, said the family appreciated
the show of support.
Lee said people who want to contribute can do so at the
high school office. Checks should be made out to Marietta City Schools and can
be mailed to the school, care of Lee, at 208 Davis Ave., Marietta 45750.
Kuhn's funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford
Funeral Home, with visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
He is survived by his mother, Devon Blair, and father,
Roger Kuhn and his wife Jenny, as well as five sisters, a brother, grandparents
and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
