A. J. Staudt –
was born in Monroe County and was the son of Jacob Staudt. He opened his saloon on Paul Street in 1901,
next door to the Eagle Hotel. In
addtion to the saloon, Mr Staudt was also the wholesaler for the Belmont
Brewing Company of Martins Ferry. Click
