          Miss Anna Ackerman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Ackerman, and Mr. Charles C. Gramlich, were married in Woodsfield, Ohio last Saturday by the Reverend George L. Davis, pastor of the M. E. Church. The bride is a very highly respected young lady of Woodsfield, and the groom is employed in the railroad business at Zanesville, where the happy couple are now located in a home previously furnished for them.

          Tuesday morning, December 15, 1903, the marriage of Mr. Benjamin H. Ackerman and Miss Anne C. Ludwig took place at the home of the bride’s parents near Lewisville, Ohio. Charles W. Neuhart acted as groomsman and Miss Minnie M. Ludwig, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid. They were the recipients of many fine presents and many were the friends and relatives who had gathered to see them start their journey in married life. The Reverend Theodore A. Ackerman, Carey Gail and John Francis Block

          Were united in marriage on August 19 at Saint Benedict Church in Cambridge with Father Robert Borer officiating the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Connie and Raymond Smithberger, Graysville,and Phil and Sally Ackerman, Beallsville. The bridegroom is the son of Barbara Block, Reynoldsburg and Francis Block, Woodsfield. The bride wore a sleeveless gown with a scooped neckline. The bodice was covered with miniature daisies and satin pearls. The tulle skirt on her gown was complete with seven layers of tulle and satiny polyester. Rows of miniature daisies cascaded from the waistline and trimmed the train of her gown. In memory of her grandmother, Ruth J. Graham, the bride wore her grandmother's engagement ring on her right hand. Alison Killian, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor, and Francis Block, father of the bridegroom served as best man. Other attendants for the bride were: Pamela Claus, Rochelle Winder, Christy Miller and Ramona Ackerman. Christopher Sturtz, Joseph Block, Casey Ackerman and Tim Kuhn were other attendants for the bridegroom. Stephany Block and Taylor Ackerman were the flower girls and Anthony Block was the ring bearer. Attending the guest book were Krista Ackerman and Brittany Ackerman. Following the ceremony, the reception, coordinated by Cindy Winland, was held in the ballroom of the Lodge at Salt Fork State Park and Resort, Cambridge. The bride is a 1995 graduate of Monroe Central High School and a 1999 graduate of Ohio University. She is currently employed as an Ohio AppalCORPS tutor and as a substitute teacher for the Switzerland of Ohio Local School District. She is also pursuing a second degree in Middle Childhood Education from Ohio University. The bridegroom is a 1990 graduate of Westerville North High School. He is a veteran of Desert Storm, serving in the United States Army for eight years. Currently, he is employed by Shadow Lake Campground and Resort. Following their honeymoon at Walt Disney World's Old Key West Resort in Orlando, Florida, the couple now resides with their two children in Miltonsburg. The couple has been greatly blessed with three children, Steve (Chriss) Baker of Woodsfield; Rhonda (Kevin) Marshall of Lewisville and Greg (Chris) Baker of Lewisville. The family circle includes five wonderful grandchildren, Chad and Cody Baker; Nikki Baker and Scott and Casey Marshall.            Miss Alberta Stephen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Stephen, of Woodsfield, Route 3, became the bride of Mr. Walter J. Ackerman, son of Mr. Benjamin Ackerman, of Lewisville, on Saturday morning November ninth, at nine o'clock. The wedding took place in St. John's Church of Miltonsburg at a Nuptial High Mass, with Reverend Noah E. Brunner officiating. Miss Dorothy Stephen, of Columbus, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor and Mr. Francis Weisend, of Lewisville, a close friend of the groom, served as best man. The bride chose a floor length gown of White satin with a net overskirt, fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice and three quarter length sleeves. Her fingertip veil was held in place with a coronet of seed pearls. She carried a pearl rosary, a gift of the groom, and wore a corsage of White carnations and red Roses. The maid of honor wore a blue satin floor-length gown with a net overskirt and her corsage was of White carnations and Roses. She wore matching flowers in her hair. The groom wore a teal blue suit and the best man a navy blue. Each had a White carnation in his lapel. A wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Carpenter. Guests present were Reverend Noah Brunner, of Miltonsburg; Mr. and Mrs. George Ackerman and son Wayne, of Parkersburg, West Virginia; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Miller and family, Mrs. Elizabeth Poulton, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Winland and daughter Joyce, of Barnesville; John Ackerman, Benjamin Ackerman and Francis Weisend, of Lewisville; Dorothy Stephen of Columbus; Mr. and Mrs. Marion Stephen and family, Woodsfield, Route 3; the host and hostess, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Carpenter; and the honored guests, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ackerman. In the evening a reception was held in the Miltonsburg Parish Hall.
