This old Cemetery is located on OLD RT 78. in Clarington.   As you are headed EAST on Rt. 78, going into Clarington, OLD RT. 78  turns off the present Rt. 78 to the left shortly after entering the city limits.  Atkinson-Pioneer Cemetery is just a short distance off RT 78 on the left above the street.

Latitude/Longitude/elevation measurements for the Atkinson Cemetery were made on the headstone of William Atkinson (3/31/1806 – 3/13/1832).  Accuracy = +/- 17 feet;  elevation corrected to ground level = 672 feet; latitude = N39o 46.044’; longitude = W080o 52.391’
