Above is pictured the two sides of a postcard sent by Frank Billman (Huby) while he was on a trip to Pittsburgh.  The card was sent to his wife, Oillie B. Billman nee Fisher in Lewisville, Monroe County, Ohio.  Frank Billman was the son of John H. Billman.  Oillie G. Billman nee Fisher was the daughter of Grant Fisher. The card was postmarked, March 30, 1944.  From the article (undated) that appeared in the Monroe County Beacon and the contents of a letter written by Grace Billman Stalling to R.E. Harrington, both on the subject of the history of the Billman Store in Lewisville, OH, it appears likely that Frank Billman still owned the store at the time he wrote the above postcard to his wife.  It is of interest to note that the postcard appears to have been post marked by two post offices.  At least one of the “stamp cancellations” was apparently done without the expected one cent stamp being affixed.
