From the Death Certificate for George A. Morris:

His certificate of death #462  [or 289 8704--both numbers are on this form] is from Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas. Georgiana Morris, his second wife, was the informant.  George A. Morris was born May 9th, 1832, and lived 90 years 7 months and 18 days.  It says he is a retired farmer who was born in Noble County, Ohio.  Georgiana indicated that she did not know the names or birthplaces of his parents. The words "pension copy issued" is stamped on this death form indicating he served in the Civil War.  Dr. O. P. Davis said George died of pneumonia (lobar) December 27, 1922, at 5:50 p.m.  He was buried in the Wakarusa Cemetery on Dec. 30, 1922.
