The Woodsfield Flouring Mill was owned by Messrs. M. F. Archer and C. Wichterman.  This mill was the largest flouring mill in Monroe County.  The mill had a capacity of 85 Barrels per day, a warehous capacity of 20,000 Bushels and 500 tons of hay.  The mill was build about 1885 and was completely renovated and modernized about 1904.
