The Hannibal Mill was built and operated by John Waddell Alexander. It was constructed in 1896 by J. W. Alexander and he owned it until 1906; he sold it to George McCurdy. It passed into the hands of Jule Luikare and Brothers, then to Frank Lloyd. It was ruined and destroyed by the 1936 flood of the Ohio River.
