Foxtown, Ohio -- about 1910
This
is a picture of the store at Foxtown, Ohio. Foxtown is on County
Road 10 near Benwood. County Road 10 runs from Sardis to SR 255 at
Benwood. Foxtown was never a town, it was just a place in the road.
The store was converted into a house but it burned down about 10 years ago.
The
only people identified in the picture are second from left, Charlie Yost the
owner of the store, the woman sitting by the door is Evie Jones Yost and her
two children. The sign above the door reads “Dr. A. C. Daniels Horse and
Dog Medicines.” This photo was taken
about 1910.
