Woodsfield
Hospital in 1905 – Dr. F. C. Huth was the founder and
president of the Woodsfield Hospital in 1904.
It was located on the south part of town and apparently in largely a
rural area. It had its own garden and
farm. Fresh dairy and garden products
were raised for the patients. It had 13
rooms and a large bath which could provide Turkish shower, Russian, vapor, sea,
salt or ‘electric’ baths. It was
managed by a matron and boasted a large nursing staff.
