This picture was taken on April 25, 1923. The occasion was the funeral of these
Whitacre sisters’ mother, Julia Ann Winland Whitacre (January 7, 1841 - April
22, 1923). The names of Julia Ann’s
daughters, from left to right, were: Amanda (Mandy) Whitacre Gray, Annetta
(Nettie) Whitacre Mobberly, Margaret Elizabeth (Lib) Whitacre Vanwy, Ida Viola
Whitacre Gray, and Mary Jane Whitacre Hodge.
The picture was taken at the home of Ida Gray on Pleasant Ridge, about
half way between Pleasant Ridge Church and Sycamore Valley, Ohio
