This picture was believed to have been taken at the home of Madison Rush about a mile and half from Sardis on County Road 10.  The only person identified is Harmon Niemann, standing on the far right.  He lived on the neighboring farm.  They are gathered around a steam engine tractor.  The tractor was being used as a power source for some kind of machinery located in the barn (out of sight).  A belt can be seen running from a large fly-wheel on the left side of the tractor into the barn. The righ wheel of the tractor is sitting on a block, probably to control the alignment of the belt.  The picture was probably taken sometime between 1900-1910.
