Vernon School - On the back of this photo is a note written in ballpoint pen: “Homer Dearth at Vernon.”   Frances H. Stoner believed this was the Vernon School located near Calais.  She attended grades 1 and 2 there from 1931-1933.  She thinks that 1934 was the last year the school was open.  Helma Stephen Christmas was the teacher.
