Way
School is one of the few one-room school houses that still exists in Monroe County. It was one of about 170 such schools that
serviced the County in the early decades of the 20th century. It is located near the site of the previous
small town of Way, Ohio. Way, Ohio has
long since ceased to exist as a town. A
single store (rebuilt in the mid-1990s) named the Whitacre Store marks the site
where Way, Ohio once stood. The
