Hi - Larry got a little ahead of us so I have posted our version of the
welcome message to the list since you didn't receive it when you signed up.
My mom [email protected] is actually the listowner and I am the helper. I
do the website management and Repository updates. Hopefully many will be
joining us as we advertise the establishment of the list. My mom and I have
been working heavily on HARRISONs for quite some time and have had the
Harrison Repository online now for more than a year. This all started
because we were looking for our James and Elizabeth H ancestors ... cousins
who m. in Madison Co., AL in 1815 with the family legend that they were both
first cousins to Wm Henry Harrison the Pres. Silly me, I thought this would
be easy. Not so. We still aren't sure who either of the parents are with 4
relatives working for more than 20 years! Well all that work was
"background" and did at least tell us who they weren't.
So we started the Repository with all the data we had amassed to share with
others in the hope to help them ... and it grew ... and is still growing
with lots of folks sharing their data and our continued research. We have
linked up a bunch, help lots of folks and have lots to discuss as we are
still confused about many of the lines. We would like some day to see all
the Harrison lines figured out and I figure that the best way to do that is
to put all the heads together and put all the H's in one place so you can
keep em all straight. I'm betting a million bucks that the HARRISONs
themselves were confused about who was related to whom. The data are all
online and free to anyone who wants to look.
So how about you all start with letting us know something about yourself and
post a message about who you are looking for. :-)
Thank you so much for joing our family list.
