Hi fellow rooters;
I don't know if there is anyone out there that can help me or not
but I will give it a try. My great grandfather Edd Harris was from
Pontotoc or Union County, MS. He married Minter Hamblin and
they had 2 children. Jesse Harris b. Sept. 17, 1905 and Martha Harris
(no info at this time). Rumor is that Edd Harris left his family when
Jesse was 2 abt. 1907 or 1908. He moved somewhere in Texas and
changed his name to Edd Harrison. Apparently he remarried in Texas
and had at least one son. This son became a doctor. I have no other
information on him. Its as if he dropped off the face of the earth. If any
of this rings a bell with anyone out there please let me know. I know that
I am probably grasping at straws but I thought I would give it a try.
