I'll make my initial foray onto this list with one of my toughest problems
-- the proverbial brick wall...
William Harrison left a Brunswick County will, dated 10 Nov 1785, proved 27
Feb 1786, in which he named his daughters Ann MARSHALL and Martha LASHLEY,
and sons Henry and William.
Ann Marshall was the wife of James Marshall (m. ca. 1763), and shortly after
the death of her father, they moved to Anson (now Montgomery) Co., NC, and
founded the Marshall clan there. She was first married to ____ Williams.
Can anyone tell me anything about William Harrison (d. 1785-1786), or give
me any pointers, clues, etc. -- I'll even settle for good guesses -- as to
who his parents were, and where they came from? Family tradition has it
that Ann Harrison Williams Marshall was born in Augusta County, but that
seems improbable to me.
Thanks for any help.
