Just in case there's someone out there who hasn't heard my plea
before...does anyone have a Nancy Emaline HARRISON? She was in Tipton
County, TN in July 1845, when she married Samuel Darby SIMONS. They were
living near Waco, TX by March, 1847, when their daughter Lucy Ann was
born. Nancy died within two years, and Sam left the little girl in
Independence, TX with two sisters named Lydia and Margaret HOOD (one of
the lost HOOD families of NC) and went to the Gold Rush. He never
returned, and our knowledge of his family and that of Nancy is
non-existent. I would really appreciate help from anyone who might know
of this Nancy...and especially if I can link her to the HOOD family.
