Looking for any information on Benjamin HARRISON, born
August 5, 1820, somewhere in Ohio. He married, first,
Jane JEFFRIES in the early 1840s. they had the
following children in Ohio: Luisa Ellen, 1844; Mary E.,
1847; and, Matilda E., 1848.
About 1849 Ben & Jane moved to Jones County, Iowa and
settled first in Greenfield. They had these additional
children: John W., 1849; Henry b., 1853; Hulda Jane,
1855; Samuel A., 1857; and, Elmer Ellsworth, 1861.
Jane died and Ben married the widow Nancy Jane Soesbe
Wagoner on October 23, 1876. Their children were
Ernest Wyant, September 9, 1865 and Rebeca Edith,
November 1872.
Ben died July 23, 1876 following an amputation of
his leg.
