This is being posted to the List since the ones that I've tried
sending to Linda (at both of her addresses) keep bouncing back.
So hope that this will be helpful to others, as well.

Hi Linda -
Your HARRISONs are most intriguing!
Not only are mine Georgians, but my great-grandfather was Rev.
William Augustus HARRISON. I've wondered if perhaps his middle
name, AUGUSTUS, might be a clue to tracing my particular family.
So far, I do not know beyond his father, Rev. Lewis Jenkins
HARRISON, who was born, 1817, in Washington Co., GA. On 27 Dec.
1841, he married Elizabeth PAGE - they're in the Washington Co.
CENSUS of 1850, # 652 - P. 75. (Most of this information has
been put in the Harrison Repository.)
Another extremely interesting element: the counties of Jasper,
Jones, and Putnam were taken from Baldwin Co. (an original GA
county that was formed in 1805 from Creek Indian lands). The
present day counties of Washington & Baldwin are next to each
other!
