Harrison. I apologize if you've already seen it. It never made it through
on a mail digest to me. Any hints, tips, etc. are appreciated.
LOOKING FOR PARENTS OF VINCENT D. HARRISON
VINCENT D. HARRISON AND NANCY ____________
Vincent D. Harrison was a Tennessee farmer who came to Bartholomew County,
Indiana between 1820 and 1830. Vincent was born Dec. 12, 1808. His wife,
Nancy _______, was born Jan. 13, 1811 and died May 20, 1848 after having
their daughter, Nancy. They lived in Wayne Township, Bartholomew County,
Indiana. Vincent purchased land in this county on Nov. 13, 1834. He is
listed as selling land in 1840. The first Harrisons in this county are
listed in the 1830 Census: Carter Harrison, Vincent Harrison, and Henry
Harrison. We do not know how they are related.

Minerva Jane Harrison Born 1834 - married Nathan K. Ball, Apr. 14, 1853

Walter Harrison Born 1841 - Married Melissa C. Luckey July 6, 1873 (MY LINE)

John R. Born 1844 - Married Elizabeth Ulery, Feb 9, 1871
Elizabeth Born 1847 - Married Peter J. Hendershot, Aug. 5, 1866
Nancy Born 1848
Rebecca Wakefield Harrison was Vincent's second wife. She was born in 1826
and married Vincent on July 23, 1851. Vincent and Rebecca had three
children:
Scott Born 1852-married Sarah Annie Harvey, d.7-1-1914 in Bartholomew
Co.
Robert Born 1854-died 1-31-1883 in Bartholomew Co.
Matilda Born 1856
Vincent died July 25, 1857 and Rebecca married John H. Thompson on July 16,
1861. Rebecca took Scott, Robert and Matilda to live with her. Walter was
guardian of some of the younger children.

Lewis Harrison - purchased land in 1823.
Thomas Harrison - purchased land adjacent to Lewis Harrison in 1823.
William Harrison - purchased land from Thomas & another plot from county in
1823.
Henry Harrison - purchased land in 1834 and 1839.
Abraham Harrison - purchased land in 1836.
Thomas Harrison appointed administrator of William Harrison's estate in 1834.
Administrator appointed for estate of Thomas Harrison in 1837.
