Looking for pre-Georgia, possibly Virginia, connection between James
HARRISON and John Gooch SNEAD. Both died on St. Simons Island, GA,
Harrison in 1796 and Snead in 1808. Harrison (b. ca 1740) was son of
William HARRISON (d. SC in 1773) and possible grandson of James HARRISON
(d. 1726 in North Farnham Parish, Richmond Co., VA). Harrison left widow
Martha (?), son John, daughter Mary and another daughter, name unknown.
Snead was on St. Simons Island when James Harrison purchased adjacent land
there in 1788. Snead left widow Martha and other familiy members,including
Tillman Snead and Nathaniel Claborne Snead.
