I have a George W. Harrison but he was born in Fayett OH 5 May 1824. His
parents were Michael and Rachael (Rupert) Harrison. He died in Jewell county
Kansas and was buried there. He married Lavina Coler/Colaw and I know of
three of his children: Elizabeth Ann; Jacob Sylvester and Lucinda Harrison.
By the 1880 IL census I could not find him but after seeing your post I think
I'll have a look in MO. Maybe my George is the father of your George.
