Hello,
I'm a new subscriber. Glad to find you. I'm trying to trace a line of
Harrisons that have been in southwest Montana more or less since the late
1800's.
I'm Robert Jean Harrison, Jr, born, Dillon, MT, 1946. My father is Robert
Jean Harrison, born Dillon, MT, 1920. My Grandfather was Homer Lee Harrison,
born in Clay Center, NE, 18??. My great grandfather was Franklin Proctor
Harrison, born (Kentucky?), 1849.
Franklin Proctor Harrison had 11 siblings:
James Thomas Cooper Harrison, born December 29, 1854
Charles Webster Harrison, born October 29, 1852
Marshall Curtis Harrison, born June 13, 1847
William Henry Harrison, born May 19, 1845
Parmelia L. Harrison, born August 29, 1842
Sarah Emily Harrison, born November 28, 1840
Eliza Ann Harrison, born November 25, 1838
James Francis Harrison, born June 30, 1836
George Headley Harrison, born September, 1834
Mary Ann Harrison, born , December 17, 1832
Elizabeth Amanda Harrison, born March 22, 1831
In addition to Franklin Proctor, James Thomas Cooper, Charles Webster, and
Marshall Curtis emigrated to Montana, Beaverhead County, I believe from
Kentucky. Most of the original homestead in Montana is still in the family.
My great-great greandfather was William Harrison, born 1808. He was married
to Jane Kelly on March 29, 1830. My great-great-great grandfather was Thomas
Harrison, born October 15, 1778 and married to Margaret Furr on July 16, 1796.
The above information was gathered by the wife of a distant cousin,
descendant of James Thomas Cooper Harrison. I'm not sure of its origin. I'm
mostly interested in tracing the ancestry of Franklin Proctor Harrison. I'm
also interested in finding the descendants of Charles Webster Harrison. I
would be thrilled in any information.
Thanks,
Rob Harrison
