Looking for anything on Nathanien Harrison b 9 Mar 1785,
d 24 feb 1871 in Clark Co. Ala. Married Mary Zimmerman b 9 Jan 1793
The only child that I have was son John Harrison b 18 Apr 1809 in
S.C. d 5 Oct 1874 Clark Co., Ala. married Narcissa Loftin on 8 Oct
1832 in Clark Co., Ala.
Benjamin Harrison was listed in the St. Stephen's Land Office
records page 18, this would have been 1815-1816. The Loftin family
had a child born in Ga. in 1815, and Narcissa born in Ala 1817. At
this time I don't know if this Benjamin and Nathanien were related
or when Nathanien came to Ala. Several marriages between Loftin,
Harrison, and Williams families in the early 1800's in Ala would
make me believe these families were linked before settling in Ala.
In Ala they lived distances that would have taken all day by foot
or horseback. I don't think that religion was the link as the
families are buried in church cemeteries near their homes.
