I would just like to cut in here if I may. The Scots did found
Nova Scotia (New Scotland translated). There's an awful lot of
French heritage there too though. A lot of Scotch-Irish people can
be found in Eastern Canada (especially in New Brunswick and Nova
Scotia) because they tended to take the British Side more often than
not in the revolutionary war, even though the reason the Brits sent
them to Ireland in the first place was because they didn't want them
in Britain. There was quite an influx of people into this area
between 1776-1784, and many Harrisons were included. As far as I
know there are three separate Harrison families which settled as
loyalists in the area. I'm going to forward some information on
them, or as much as I know, at some point here. Many of these then
moved to Ontario for lack of work in Eastern Canada and settled
there.

Anyhow that's my $0.02

Bye for now!
