I'd like for everyone to give a hand to the State Archives of Florida,
especially Librarian Specialist Nan Currence for her thorough and accurate
work. She found proof that my great-grandfather Louis Henry HARRISON was,
indeed, Mayor of Lake City, FL prior to 1889. Her source should be of
interest to others searching for HARRISON in FL: Biographical SOUVENIR of
the States of Georgia and Florida; F.A.Battey & Co., 1889.
If Maryte Dyess belongs to this group, she might want to see page 384/385.
Her HARRISON is there.
On page 385, there is Hon. William HARRISON, born in Twiggs Co., GA. I know
I have seen this somewhere with this list.
