Hi,
Saw the site. Didn't see any clues to my particular line, but I will search
deeper
and pass on what I do know so far. I would love any kind of feedback,
especially
if there are other Canadian lines out there. This is it so far:
John Harrison
Born c1720, Low Moor, Rillington, Yorkshire, England. Married Sarah Lovell, 21
Nov 1753 at Hornsea, Yorkshire. She was born in Thorpebasset, Yorkshire and
died in 1814 NS/Ontario, Canada. John died on 7 Jul 1807 in Lower Maccan,
Cumberland Co, Nova Scotia, Canada. Directly descended child: Nancy Ann
Harrison.
---------------
Nancy Ann Harrison
Born 1766, US/NS, Canada?. Married John Lumley Sr. on 21 Sep 1786 in
Southampton, Cumberland, NS, Canada. He was born 1767 in Rillington,
Yorkshire, England and died 12 May, 1842 in Iona, Ontario. Nancy Ann die 29
Aug 1837 in Iona, Ontario.
I am estimating a better than 75% chance that John and family came into the US
and then went up to NS pre-/during Rev. War. Most of my relations from that
time did so and the people from Yorkshire really seemed to have done that.
Thanks very much,
Stewart
P.S. I have not been able to get on your BBS for some reason - just thought
you
should know that.
