Hi list members. We have been off the net for a long time now. We are
looking for Isaac Harrison, born Ireland 1848. Married Isabella EWING
probably in Pa. Isabella's parents were George and Elizabeth MONTGOMERY
EWING. They lived in PA near Pittsburgh. Isaac and Isabella had 5 children:
Mary b 1872, Ella Gourly b. 1874 m. Aubree IRWIN, Jane R. born 1876 m. Wm
FRANK, Elizabeth M. b. 1877, m. Eugene BARTOW, George E. b.1883, Sarah M b.
1884. Isaac and family are in the 1880 census, and we found Isabella in a
city directory for Pittsburgh, in 1900 listed as widow. We assume they are
both buried in Pa, but we have no proof. We have just started researching
these lines. I (Joan) descend from Ella Harrison and Aubree Irwin. Aubree
and Ella moved to CA about 1909, but we think the rest of the family
remained in PA. We have no clue as to the parents of Isaac. We found a
record of a naturlization for an Isaac Harrison in PA about 1871. This could
be the same person. We have not seen the record, and do not know what
information it might contain. We do not know when Isaac came to America. We
would like to correspond with anyone related to this line, and we would
appreciate any clues anyone could give us as to the lines of Any of these
people.
We have not done any research in PA. Is there a marriage index for
old marriages? Is there a death index? Is there an index for old graveyards
in PA?
