The Carter Tree

I have five books completed, and am going to mail them tomorrow, meaning
Monday. I have two addresses. I know I have the rest somewhere, but alas
and alack, they are buried under GOK what that got shifted when the cats were
sick and insisted on sleeping on the computer while we worked. (read
'played').

I HAVE: Bill and John. Thank you Bill for knowing I was nuts - you were
right. I now find myself stuck between a rock and a hard place. ;-)

I received checks from them, plus Shirley, Joanie and - my face is red -
someone else. Will the someone else please refresh my memory? Please send
me your addresses - we all now know the whole world knows them but me, and I
can't afford to pay P-Trax for the info. They have probably raised their
rates anyway, since they had to hire 4,000 more phone clerks/clerks to
process our outrage.

If you want the book, but are not on the above list, please let me know. I
have Kay, Janet - you might be the mystery person? - and of course Jo and
Becky. I will make another run this week if the money holds up. this will
be easier and faster, because now I have a master. :-)

Looks pretty good, even if an amateur job. The "cover" is a xerox of the
book cover which didn't copy that well. I wanted it on buff paper, but the
shmutz on the cover was problematic. There is a real chart. The book itself
was compiled from this chart, of which you only get to see a glimpse, and
it's pretty amazing. I recently corresponded with a Carter cousin who says
his copy of the book came with a copy of the chart. If my grandmother's copy
did, it's long gone. I suspect it did not, since she certainly would have
shown it off to me. That was my first introduction to the book back in aught
9 -- no, just kidding, about 1957. The bright side is that this book must
not be totally out of print. Directions on how to navigate are in the first
couple of pages. Technical support happily available on request.

Sorry, folks, for the delay and the mental lapses.

Well, I appear to be getting punchy. I fixed my computer so it doesn't hang
at midnight anymore. Of course, it doesn't tell the correct time, either.
 ;-)
