Are these two Joshua Harrisons the same?? In Westmoreland (VA) County
Deeds & Wills 14, p. 132 (17 May 1762) Joshua HARRISON of Cameron Parish,
Fairfax County, VA conveyed to brothers Samuel and Daniel HARRISON "the
land they gave me in 1758." Joshua was the son of Willoughby HARRISON and
grandson of George HARRISON (d. 1713, Westmoreland Co.). On 10 October
1805 the will of Joshua Harrison of South Carolina said "there is a Quanity
of Lande in the State of Virginia, entered in my name in what is commonly
called Lord Fairfax's office..." He left the land to his children if they
could go and get it. His will was proved Fairfield County, SC, and listed
widow Mary, sons George, Benjamin, Frances (sic), Samuel, Thomas, John,
Daniel and William, and daughter Molly.
Anyone else connected with the descendants of George Harrison of Westmoreland?
