Family in Brunswick, Isle of Wight, Greensville, Surry, Essex Counties in
Virginia. John Harrison, born 1760 Virginia died 26 June 1822 in
Brunswick Co., Virginia. His first wife was Lucy unknown [I think
she was a Tillman], they maried ca. 1782. John's son Joseph Harrison
named one of his children Tillman and on 15 Feb 1797, Edward Branch and
Martha Tilman married ...Lucy Harrision test as to her age.
This family is mixed up somehow with the Wallton, Green, Randle, Tillman,
Goodrich, Dromgoole, Pearson families in Brunswick and Greensville Cos. I
have lots and lots of descendants but cannot tie John to a mother and

went to Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi and some to Texas. John
Harrison second married a widow Dorothy Rawlings Hancock, Wit: Armsted
Hartwell, sur: Harrison Hartwell. There is some connection between the
Harrison and Hartwell families dating from 1691-2 when Capt. John
Harrison was a sea captain and owner with Henry Hartwell of the "Harrison
of London" on the James River. I look forward to meeting lots of cousins.
