Joyce -- I think there is a Taliaferro in my husband's early
line in the 1690 time period. so I would be interested, but
may I suggest, since we in Va know that is is actually
pronounced Tolliver, perhaps you should post is both ways.
Once they left VA and the spelling was left to how it
sounded.
