Gerrie, I am working on two JOHN Harrisons - one in Jefferson Co. TN.
"The earliest record of John Harrison is 1793 in Prince Edward Co. VA. He
came to Jefferson Co. TN around 1797. Jefferson County deeds dated 11 Nov
1797 and 3 Apr 1807 show that he owned 600 acres of land on Long Creek,
exact location of his home is not known. In his will dated 2 Nov 1810 he
names his wife Sally (she was second wife, no information of first wife)". �100

Charles Harrison Adm. Heirs: Peter, Reps Jones & Wife Delila, Benj,
Willis Taylor & wife Anna, Troyless Barnes & wife Elizabeth, John Buckner &
wife Polly, William Carter & wife Sally, Charles Harrison.
Land discription in will: to Benjamin 100 acres lying on Long Creek
beginning on a pine on the south side of the creek and intersecting with
William Love's line so as not to interfer with the cleared land of the home
plantation, but to include the creek field. To Charles 150 acres being part
of the tract purchased of McCrory to be taken in one oblong square adjoining
the lands of Elijah Witt deceased. To Peter, all the rest including the
home plantation at my wife Sally Harrison's death. All the household
furniture, goods, and chattles after her death to be equally divided between
the heirs now living in number eight.. Executors: Thomas Snoddy, esqr,
true & trusty friend, and Sally Harrison. Wit: Gabriel House & Charles
Harrison.

Prior to moving to Jefferson Co, TN, John Harrison made a deed of gift of
personal property to his four children in Prince Edward Co. VA; Benjamin,
Charles, Peter, and Polly. His wife may have died and the other four
children in his will may be by 2nd wife, she may be a Knight or Robertson. �66
�100 James and Benjamin, brothers and sons of William Harrison of Prince
Edward Co. MD and John a nephew or lst cousin settled in Jefferson Co. TN.
James first in 1787 md Jane Todd, dau of Low Todd; 2nd Hannah Van Pelt
widow of Benj Langston. and dau of Rev Benj Van Pelt. Property was on the
NolickchuKy Creek River, (Greene Co. TN) they later moved to Hamblem Co. TN.
Benjamin came c1789 and had property adjacent to James, his wife was
Philedelphi Inman. John was in Prince Edward Co in 1793 and abstract shows
he owned property on Long Creek TN in 1797.
James' wife Hannah and step-sons, James, Jr. and John moved to Roane Co. TN
which later became Loudon Co. James dau Mary md Daniel Jones. Benjamin
moved to Madison Co, AL and md Anna Walker in 1812.

Possible kin: This JOHN
in
Limestone Co. AL to Gibson Co. TN to Hamilton Co. IL. Prob. m. McClung in
Huntsville, AL in 1818 then Nancy Thomas in Limestone Co. 1838. Must have
had children by 1st wife where are they???? Prob. came from Greene Co. TN
with Gideon, Michael, Daniel, Joseph in 1808?
