George Harrison - born around 1762
Died: 09-13-1834, Lowndes County, Alabama
First settled at Ft. Dale on Persimmon Creek in 1819.
He was one of 5 commissioners named to fix a suitable place for seat of
justice for Butler County, Alabama. He came to Alabama from Georgia, in
1818, driving a team and bringing a family of four sons and two daughters:
