It's possible that your Hulda is descended from George Harrison (d. 1713
Westmoreland Co.). He had seven sons, Thomas, George, John, William,
James, Peter and Willoughby.
The will of Willoughby was written 12 Jan 1749/50 and proved 27 Mar. 1750,
naming Samuel, Joshua, Daniel, Willoughby, Darcus and Elizabeth.
In Westmoreland Co. there is a deed for 62 acres from Willabee Harrison and
wife, Mary, to James Harrison of Richmond Co. on 12 Apr. 1807 for land
formerly belonging to Daniel. (Westmoreland Co. Deeds & Wills 21, p. 408)
This Willabee appears to be the son of Daniel and grandson of the first
Willoughby mentioned above.
Thus, the Willoughby of your query *could* be the same as the Willabee in
the deed who appears to be the son of Daniel. The dates would seem to mesh.
I have been investigating these particular Harrisons for quite some time
because William Harrison, the first in my line who appeared in SC in 1750,
appears to be one of the 16 grandsons of George Harrison (d. 1713). William
had six children, one of them named Willabee, and a grandson, Willougby.
These Harrisons were very prolific and they kept pushing back the frontier.
Hope this helps some. That's all I know about the Willoughby of your interest.
