For my new years resolution I am going to find all the loose
ends that have been driving me crazy.
MARY HARRISON married Reuben Long prior to 1760 they lived
in Culpeper County VA.
The parents of Mary Harrison have been very hard to find.
WHY? everyone else in that area seems to have some type of
documentation. Could it be that we are going over
information that is in error and needs correction.
My point: there is a Mary Harrison daughter of Col. William
Harrison of Stafford County. Col. William dies but provides
well for his children. Mary's sister marries Robert
Slaughter. In the notes of the church records it says that
Mary marries a Waller from Fredericksburg VA. BUT --- I can
find no official record of this marriage.
Could there be some mistake and Mary was the wife of Reuben
Long -- they both lived in close proximity and were of the
same social connection.
Any comments or suggestion would be most welcome. It drives
me crazy that these folks lived 30 min. from where I live
and I can't pin them down.
