Hi All, I received a will of GEORGE HARRISON of Westmoreland Co. VA from Ken
Baldwin
this week. Thank you Ken, it is very much appreciated.
Will, dated 2 Oct 1713, proved 25th day of Nov 1713, Westmoreland Co. VA.
" I give all my land to my sonsThomas George John William James & Peter &
Willoughby Harrison
to them & their heirs forever to be equally divided between them my sons
George & John to have their parts where they now live and my son Willoughby
to have his share where my now dwelling plantation is further my will is
that in case any of my sons die without issue that their parts be equally
devided between the rest and further my will is that in case any of my sonns
is minded to sell his part he nor none of them shall sell it to no other
person but to his brothers or brother who shall be willing to buy it "
This appears to me to mean that there was a Peter and there was a Willoughby.
He further wills various items to George & John; to George & Peter; my sons
William James & Willoughby to have each of them a feather bed; Thomas have a
flock bed; my son Peter a flock bed; and my son Willoughby to have the bed
I now lie upon with the green hangings.
He does not mention William & James separately but William James is always
written together.
would have to look at land records to see when and if any of them ever sold
their land
and anyother records for a William James written together and separate.
There is no Samuel as we have in the repository
George's father is still in question???? Was it John H ?? or Was it
Anthony H. ?
Can anybody provide some more data?

til today to figure out how to get into my E-mail box. None of the names
ring bells with me. The surnames that I am researching are: F RYMIRE (East
ST. Louis, IL; HAIGLER (I think KY); DAVIS. George Harrison is where I am
stopped. Born around 1762 but don't know where. He was traveling because
his sons and daughters were born in NC and SC and he came from Georgia to
Alabama in 1816. He was one of the commissioners that founded Greenville as
the county seat of Butler Conty, Alabama. I know that LEVI HARRISON went to
TEXAS and my cousin has talked with some of his descendants.
