I would like to apologize for posting a notice titled
"DELETE if you are not concerned about 1st Amendment Rights on the
Internet".
It was an accident. I had intended to send it only to my "Individual
Internet Friends", the User Groups that I regularly subscribe to were
not intended to be included. My fault and I apologize.
However, I must say that I am very disappointed in the "vile and
belligerent" messages that I have received from "so called"
genealogists. Not many, but they are the same people that are always
posting their complaints about Great Grandma's apple pie recipe or
Gr-Gr-Grandfather's peculiar pastime activity posts to the User Group. I
must say that these people, who are the LOUDEST and most OBNOXIOUS of
these User Groups make genealogists in general look very unfriendly. I
rarely post to any of these groups because of these characters and I
suspect a great many other "searchers" do not post for the same reason.
My so called "SPAM" was an accident, but I don't have a problem with
occasional "SPAM's" as I have a feature on my email reader called
"DELETE" that really solves most of that problem for me. What I do have
a problem with is the many GROUCHES that continually harangue people for
what ever tends to be annoying them that day. I feel sorry for the
newcomers to the "NET" because of these JERKS.
Again, I apologize for the accidental "SPAM". It will not happen again
any time soon as it will be a while before I post anything to any
genealogy User Group...there's just too many unfriendly people on them.
