This is a repost of my line, with some new information.
I'm looking for the parents of Richard Thomas HARRISON and Mary Anne
HARRISON. Richard was b. 1825, TN, and Mary Anne was b. 1822, TN.
I am now in contact with a grandson of Richard Thomas HARRISON, who tells me
the two were orphaned in about 1839, when their father was killed "somewhere
in southern Tennessee" in a chivaree. At that point, Richard T. HARRISON
was apprenticed out to a plantation owner, and was his carriage boy, until
he left for Texas in 1825.
In 1839, Mary Anne HARRISON married Mark J. LINDSEY in Lawrence Co., AL.
Does the description of Richard T. HARRISON's father and his death ring any
bells for anyone? Where in southern TN did this happen? And what was the
father's name? Could it have been Thomas, Jeremiah, Richard, or Benjamin?
Any clues will be very gratefully received.
