Norm, Thank you for your post ... I added your refs to William in our
repository. This is the same fam with the erroneous idea that their Ben was
a descendant of Ben the signer. The Draper MS have docs that correct this
mistake about this William being related... but some descendants of this
line of Lawrence and Catherine never did learn the truth and passed down
through many generations this fallacy.
Could you tell us what Veech says about Richard? We have the other brothers
you mentioned but not Richard. Assuming Battle = Battaile
We also have another William wife Sarah who we have wondererd a long time if
he wasn't one in the same .. but they had a dau named Nancy. Any help in
elucidating this is greatly appreciated! If this William is the same, his
granddau married her 1st cousin Lawrence.
