I had a few days vacation this week and have been having a ball catching up
on some of my stacked up genealogy "stuff". I took the time to create
gedcoms on some Harrrisons I found in KS (and other places) and sent them to
Becky to put in the repository. I'd be happy to send any of them to any of
you if you think there's a link with what you're working on. Here's a brief
sketch:
1. William Harrison/Martha Davey - England > Ottawa County, KS in 1869. Have
a bio on their son, William; siblings' names; Wm's children.
2. William H. Harrison and Eliza M. ____. Wm H. born 1866. Died 1934 in
Kansas City, MO. Have list of their children.
3. Wellington Harrison>Wm. Benson Harrison>June Harrison,Wm. Benson
Harrision, Jr. Wm. Benson H., Sr. born Ontario, Canada in 1876. Have Bio
4. W. H. Harrison - have children's names who were born starting 1889. W.H.
died in KS.
5. Silas A. Harrison, born 9-3-1825 in IN; died 1-29-1903 in Iowa. Married to
Kisiah Moore. Have list of children and some descendants. (This came through
Gay Shlanta)
6. Jeremiah Harrison (died in Manhattan, KS); married to Elizabeth Kirland -
associate of John Brown, 12 KS Infantry; have children's names and bio of his
son, John R. Harrison.
7. John Newton Harrison, b. 12-26-1846 in IN. Have 4 page bio on him. Had a
brother named Thomas. John Newton H. served in 8th Indiana Cavalry commanded
by his uncle, Thomas Harrison.
8. Daisy ___ Harrison, born 1813 in VA.; Child: James B. Harrison, b. 1834
VA. Have list of James' children and birth years. Moved to Mitchell Co., KS
by 1880
9. David Harrison, b. Ohio. Married to Margaret Adair. Have some
descendants. Came to KS in 1878, Methodist minister.
10. Charles Harrison, b. 10-25-1832, Waterloo, NY; d. 3-3-1908 in Cawker
City, KS. Have obits, newspaper clippings, some descendants.
11. John Harrison, came to American from England before Rev. War; lived in
NC. Have some of John's descendants including grandson John Harrison b.
8-14-1794 in TN; died 4-8-1862 in Spencer Co., IN. Info originally from Gay
Shlanta. (John H.; John H.; John H. (7 children); Samuel H. (10 children).
12. John Harrison b. 1818 in Carlysle, England. Some info on descendants and
a bio.
13. Wm. Oric Harrison - married Jane Garfield in Chittenden Co., Vermont.
Have many copies of obits, newspapers clippings of children who moved to KS
to run bank that father founded. Children born in VT beginning 1857.
