Andrew, Lovell HARRISON, ROUSSEAU, WOOTEN

Hi everyone,
I am hunting hard now for anything on Lovell HARRISON line as it looks like
dear hubby Vince has some HARRISON blood too! His David ROUSSEAU ancestor
m. 1735/45 to Ann (Mary) HARRISON of Westmoreland. David died young and
she married second to Samuel DOGAN. There is a Lovell Harrison Rouseau in
the line b. 1818. The logical choice is Ann dau of Andrew H Jr. and Mary
LOVELL the problem being that we show that this Ann died before 1738 though
I don't know how reliable the info is from Southside Virginia Families;
Lovell Family of Westmoreland with Allied Families of Harrison and Footman,
by Oliver Harold Carper. Also not sure who this Andrew's father is - but
may be the Andrew who m. the widow Thomasin RAYNE.

Then I keep remembering a message from someone regarding Benjamin WOOTEN -
so am providing some info on David ROUSSEAU's father Hillaire (1675-1720)
of Stafford Co., VA. the only WOOTEN I find in our Repository is Elizabeth
Shields WOOTEN wife of James Madison HARRISON of Spartanburg ca 1825.

"Southside Virginia Families," by John Bennett Boddie, Volume 1,
Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc., Baltimroe, 1976. Pages 75 begin a long
detailed study of Baker-Bradford-Taylor of Flowerdieu Hundred (Continued
from page 153, V.H.G.) John Bradford of Brunswick Co., VA., is the first
person examined. As the family tree is explored from this person, on page
80, it mentions that "William Wooten was Clerk of the Superior Court of
Halifax from 1781 to 1792. He was the son of Benjamin Wooten of Halifax
who made his will in Halifax June 26, 1764." It states that Benjamin
proclaimed money to his wife Elizabeth Wooten (who was the daughter of
Hillaire Rousseau (1675 - 1720) and grandau. of Theodore Rousseau,"Hugenot
emitrant on ship 'Peter and Anthony' 1701) his 'plantation whereon I now
live with land adjoining for her (Elizabeth Wooten) natural life or
marriage.'" The Wooten children are then named on page 81.

any help with this line GREATLY appreciated!
thanks so much
becky
