Hi everyone,
I am new to this list and I am looking for information on my HARRISON
family who emigrated from Devonshire, England around 1820 to Canada
settling on a farm near Milton in Halton, Ontario.
Thomas HARRISON, my gggg-grandfather, and his wife Elizabeth had 7
children:
Mary Ann, William,( my ggg-grandfather), Henry, Eliza, Richard,
Charles, and Johnson.
William Harrison married Hannah HESSEY on 8 Jan 1840, and they had 8
children:
Johnson Edward HARRISON, William Spencer HARRISON, D. M. Harrison
(son), M. Louise HARRISON, (the rest are daughters, I don't know
their first names), Mrs. F. COLLING, Mrs. James BASTEDO, Mrs. R.
BOYNE, Mrs. G. APPLEBY.
All the above info came from a golden wedding anniversary newspaper
clipping and the family tree page, inside the Harrison family Bible dated
1769.
I have a wealth of info on my Harrison line thanks to my Great Uncle
Frank HARRISON who gave me a large box filled with old photos, post
cards, letters, etc..., a few years before he died.
I am interested in contacting any other members of this extended family
to share information.
