Hi, Terri & Others-
Let's see if we can end the confusion.

Here's what's happening for those of you who haven't moved your lists
as of yet and are going to go to rootsweb.
1. Rootsweb is preparing to receive the large number of lists and
subscribers by upgrading hardware, etc.
2. At the same time, Larry is preparing our "luggage" to move us. He
will send RootsWeb a list of the lists from maiser. They will set up
the new lists. Larry will send them the subscribers for each list.
RootsWeb will add these subscribers to the lists. As part of the
process of setting up the lists, the owner will be subscribed to the
listowner@rootsweb list. This is the critical stuff to get going.
Later, as he can, Larry will be forwarding the maiser archives for
each list to RootsWeb who will create archives at RootsWeb - another
monumental undertaking but not one is that is essential to getting
the lists up and going.
3. If your lists have already been moved to rootsweb or anywhere
else, this doesn't apply to you.
4. There is nothing for you to do at the present time except,
possibly, review the Smartlist info as I sent out yesterday.
5. Will there be errors made? Without a doubt! Moving nearly 1000
lists and 40,000 subscribers requires a *lot* of work on the part of
many people. That work is going on right now and will continue for
the next week. But I feel certain there will be few errors and those
will be easily corrected.
Regards,
