Hi ALL,
We are all back safe and sound from China. A wonderful trip .. truly
fabulous architecture and scenery. We had a private English speaking
Chinese guide who took us ALL over China visiting 5 cities in 10 days. The
hospitality was great. Our daughter Andrea - 7 years old was the hit of
China having her photo taken perhaps more than the Forbidden City itself -
all entralled by her beauty - everywhere we went chinese wanted to have
their picture taken with her - or just to touch and speak to her. We
thought about charging 5 yuan per photo - would have paid for our trip ...
just kidding about charging :-).
We kissed the ground in OKC when we finally landed having been diverted
three times on the way back due to plane malfunctions in the US. Can't
tell you how glad we were to see Iced Tea on the menu, english speaking
waiters, food we could recognize, flushing toilets with toilet paper - and
water you can drink! GREAT to be back in the good old USA!
Our list is up and running on RootsWeb - your receiving of this message
should confirm that. Everyone who was subscribed before on Maiser has been
moved to this new list address. Hopefully we will not have a problem. To

do to get caught up and over 900 messages received in my absence... so if
you have written me ... it may be a while before I can respond. Please be
patient - and I will get to it. It will likely take me a week or more to
get my act together again.
