Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me the names of children of Henry HARRISON, Capt. of
Sussex (VA), "of Hunting Quarter," (1734-1775), and his wife, Elizabeth
AVERY? Henry was a son of Benjamin and Ann (Carter) HARRISON. The
Harrison genealogies I've seen end with Henry and Elizabeth's marriage &
don't list children.
According to one researcher, Henry and Elizabeth may have been the
parents of my William Henry Harrison, b. VA 1768, m. Winifred Hancock,
dau of William. William H & Winifred had 12 chidren & lived for several
years in Adair Co, KY. Both died in Carroll Co, MO--Winifred in 1844 and
William H in 1848. Their children, as far as I've found:
Mary "Polly" A., m. John SQUIRES
Son, m. ? SANDERS
Margaret, m. Joseph DAMRON
Winnifred, m. Jacob BURK
Benjamin, m. Elizabeth ADKINS
4 other daughters
3 other sons
Does anyone have further information on this family? Can anyone help
verify or disprove the parentage of William Henry Harrison, b. 1768? I
would really appreciate any help and will be glad to share what I have.
